Mayhem in Mexico

Our traveling circus hit the road for the annual pilgrimage to Mexico. We were lucky enough to escape for some much needed sunshine and surf.

It was an experience getting there with 3 wild animals in tow, but we made it with a lot of help. Thanks R, Maja, T-pop & countless other saints. It takes a village these days.

We played hard & slept hard. The girls swam like fish and drank tropical drinks like sailors. The little man acclimated quite well. He enjoyed showing off his spray tan (jaundice) and lounging about in onesies. He even humored E and let her decorate him with stickers. R & I attempted to keep up with all the mayhem while carving out some time to relax. We both managed to devour a good book and even found time for an occasional nap. Best of all, we were able to catch up with grandparents, siblings, great grandparents, cousins, aunts & uncles. 51 fabulous relatives from Hawaii, California, Texas & Utah all converged for 8 days of sunburned bliss.

As for the little man, he managed to sleep through most of the action. But I guess when you have already been on 6 airplanes and lived a third of your life in Mexico... life as an international man of mystery can be exhausting!
Here's to finding sand in our ears for the next week and surviving another great circus act!

Oh I have such fond memories of our great escape to Mexico with your family back in the day. Pina Coladas, guacamole, that pizza with the banana chips and marachino cherries, and chasing tail-dropping geckos off the balcony...ring a bell.

Congrats on the new babe! I'm a little behind on the news, but he looks like he's holding up pretty well with two older sisters to keep an eye on him. What a lucky little devil - Mexico within the first few weeks of life... I'm jealous!
