Today I ate an obscene amount of garlic in preparation for tonight. What's tonight you wonder?
Well, I am going to attempt to delve into the world of vampires that has all the mommies sqwaking and the blogs talking. It's this phenomenon called Twilght. I bet you have probably heard about it. I'm a little slow on the uptake. I have been somewhat reluctant to give in. My inner rebel wants me to go against the fang (I mean grain- HA! Freudian slip). I'm not quite sure I have the ability or desire to "fall in love with a vampire". But I was told to look past the nocturnal neck-biting creature and to enjoy the romance in itself. I guess the feeling of love is pretty universal... why not take a chance and sink my teeth into it? (Sorry the puns are just too easy!) Don't worry, I will use a wooden stake as my bookmark.
It's getting late. Time to walk on the darkside. I will now go and attempt to read this with an open mind & closed mouth (garlic breath).

Ok well dont say I didn't warn you.... but i guarantee you'll get sucked into just like the rest of us. i figure its ok to feel like teenager again ...OH WAIT! WRONG, they get pretty silly but its a quick read. Now if you get way into the second and third volumes then I'll be worried.
Oh and Loved your date story! you are soooooo hilarious. Please post your vampire feelings, I;m always eager to see who falls in love and who doesn't! :)
i am one of the FEW people on the planet that did not get into the whole twilight thing. i read it before the rage and it didn't grab me. i am wondering if i re-read it now that there's so much hype about it..if i would like it better. my sister said she would lay in bed at night hoping her husband would bite her...i couldn't get into the whole pale skinned edward thing..he kinda grossed me about. at least the way i pictured him.
Chad and I loved looking for all of her typos and there were plenty. Who edited this book!?! (that's right I said Chad...he read it too) I also can't believe how many times she used the word glower could she not come up with another word. Despite my cynicism I was sucked into the read...all three of them.
PS I think that I remember playing with you once or twice when we were kids about 20 years ago. Emily Curtis was one of my best friends. Does any of that ring a bell. Kind of random but you look so familiar.
Don't give up...it takes awhile to get throught the first part...then suddenly you will be up until 2 am because you can't stop reading. I really didn't want to read it either...to go against the crowd...but man I am glad I read them...yes done with all three!!! SO GOOD!!!
I too have resisted. I even had it on hold at the library. I just never picked it up! You'll have to tell me what you think. I do like a good no brains romance. It'll keep me up at work!
hey! we are blogging at the same time!!!
Ok--so I have read all three of these unfortunate book and been totally annoyed. Why did I read them...? When I heard 10-12 year olds in my neighborhood were idolizing Edward and thinking that such a relationship is normal and healthy I figured it was my calling to warn the poor parents who think these book are appropriate for their girls because they are written by a "BYU graduate." (Serious run-on sentence-Sorry!)Anyway, I'm anxious to hear what you think. By the way, you can check our blog at http://clevengerfamily.blogspot.com
i feel the same as melissa..i was concerned that all of my YW (at the time) were reading it..they were 13,14 etc. i think it is a very tantalizing book and i felt like it was evoking feelings in them that they shouldn't be having at their age. (of course noah read it in hiding..i had no idea)
What the crap are you all talking about?
These books taught me to read again! I know...pathetic. but I read all 3 in a week and I dont remember the last time I read a whole book. Then of course...I was so into the dark side that I started Harry Potter (a little later than the rest of the world) and have read up to book 5. yeah and I do love Edward
